Angela describes herself as curious by nature and a passionate problem solver. Her journey in IT has been as wide as it is long and across many continents. This broad reach has helped her become an adept systems thinker, always looking at the big picture and finding the structural holes and opportunities. Specialising in business transformation and simplification, her ethos is to help shape resilient and fair outcomes using contemporary methods and tools, always having people at the heart of the matter. Over her accomplished career she has consulted in Banking, Insurance, Finance, Resources, Utilities and Integrated Justice spanning the roles of Software Engineer, Business Systems Analyst, Business Solution Architect, Operational Designer, Change Manager, Test Manager and now as a Human Centred Design Facilitator.

In recent years she has specialised in sparking innovation through coupling design and architectural thinking and worked with Architects, Product Managers, Agile Teams and Service Designers. She firmly believes that culture is the winning ingredient in creating high performing operating models and valuable outcomes for people.

Angela is TOGAF 9.2 certified and studied Systems Analysis and Design in the UK. She is also a qualified IT Teacher, however it is her love of human behaviour and the advances in neuroscience that keeps her passionate. For fun, she qualified as a hypnosis practitioner and is studying for a Masters in Holistic Counselling to extend her knowledge of complex systems. She has volunteered her time to help in STEaM programs for children, putting the emphasis on the importance of art in innovation and given guest lectures at schools and universities to pass it on. Her favourite time being in a classroom of teachers to run a service jam on inventing new ways to teach.

Angela is a strong believer in storytelling and bringing her contagious enthusiasm to everything she does. Her training recipe is as follows: First and foremost, create the right atmosphere for learning, brave, safe and experimental. Next build the trust and energy for high performance. Add igniting a spark by helping to connect the dots with real world examples. Then it’s plenty of time to practice, practice, practice and ask questions. Finally it’s leaving you with the creative confidence to play with your new toys.
